Announcement - Fiscal Officer Retiring
After a distinguished career of dedication to serving the public, Fiscal Officer Jerry Miller has announced his retirement, effective at the end of August 2026.
Jerry has devoted more than 30 years to serving the State of Ohio, followed with an additional 15 years faithfully supporting the residents of Granville Township.
His decades of commitment, fiscal responsibility, and stewardship have left a lasting impact on the Granville Township and the greater community, he will be deeply missed.
Hiring Notice
Assistant Fiscal Officer
Fiscal Officer Miller is looking to hire an intermittent Assistant Fiscal Officer for Granville Township for a period of May 1, 2026 through August 31, 2026. Applicants must be a resident of Granville Township (which includes the Village of Granville). Key responsibilities include:
Financial Management: Helps to oversee all financial transactions of the township, including paying bills, managing payroll, and receiving revenue. This includes maintaining accurate records of all accounts and transactions.
Record Keeping: Assists in keeping detailed records of the proceedings of the Board of Township Trustees meetings, ensuring transparency and accountability in township governance.
Compliance with Laws: Comply with all legal requirements set forth in the Ohio Revised Code.
Collaboration with Trustees, Fire Chief and Roads/Cemetery Superintendent: Although the business office operates independently, the office must work with the Township Trustees, Supervisors and employees of the Township, particularly in fiscal matters, to ensure that all decisions comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Budget Preparation: Assists in preparing the township's budget and financial reports, providing essential data for decision-making by the trustees.
Public Engagement: Be involved in communicating financial information to the public and ensuring that residents are informed about the township's financial status.

Granville Township is a section of beautiful rolling land five miles square centrally located in Licking County. Through the center of it runs a tributary of the Licking River known as Raccoon Creek.
